Victor Colunga Sr.

Victor Colunga Sr., 57, of Beeville, died Monday, May 19, 2014. Mr. Colunga was born Dec. 15, 1956, in Mathis to Anita (Gonzalez) and Juan Pablo Colunga. He married Erlinda Hernandez in Beeville on Jan. 20, 1979. He was a truck driver for Beck Brothers Inc. and was a member of St. James Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Andres Colunga. Survivors include his mother, Anita Gonzalez Colunga of Beeville; his wife of 40 years, Erlinda Colunga of Beeville; children, Belinda Ramirez and Adela Colunga, both of Victoria, Virginia Faragoza and Victor Colunga Jr., both of Beeville, and David Ybanez of Mathis; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Rosario Aguilar, Maria Luisa Acevado and Christina Clark, all of Beeville; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Visitation will be held Friday, May 23, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited there at 7 o'clock that evening. Services will conclude Friday evening.
