Tiburcio Serrano

Tiburcio Serrano, 77, of Skidmore, died Sunday, March 18, 2012. Mr. Serrano was born Aug. 12, 1934, in Beeville to Victoria Perez and Jose Serrano. He married Petra Servantes in Alice on April 4, 1960, and was a bulldozer operator and a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Skidmore. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Clemente Serrano and Cosme Vasquez. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Petra Serrano of Skidmore; four sons Daniel (Carmen Serrano of Carrizo Springs, Joe (Maria) Serrano of Skidmore, Reynaldo (Tencha) Serrano of Beeville and Lupe (Bill) Serrano of Austin; three daughters, Mary Serrano and Eva Serrano of Skidmore and Berta Serrano of Beeville; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Maria Ybarra of Frost; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 20, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited there that evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 21, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church with Rev. Sebastian Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore. Pallbearers are Marco Serrano, Abel Maldonado, Mario Maldonado, Jeremy Serrano, Benjamin Maldonado, Anthony Serrano, Daniel Serrano Jr. and Jose Villarreal. Angelus Funeral Home
