Salvador Garza, 83, of Beeville, died Thursday, July 11, 2013. Mr. Garza was born April 29, 1930, in Beeville to Alejandro and Paula (Paiz) Garza. He married Maria Olivarez and was property manager for Daugherty Properties. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and Woodmen of the World. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters Mary Cecilia Valdez, Della Alvarado and Adelida Crouch. Survivors include his wife, Mary Garza of Beeville; five children, Lillian Garza, Salvador Garza Jr. and Robert Ray Garza, all of Beeville, Mary Elizabeth Cervantez of San Antonio and Daniel D. (Mary Ann) Garza of Austin; three brothers, Alex (Estefana) Garza, Jessy (Ofelia) Garza and Guadalupe (Alicia) Garza, all of Beeville; a sister, Lipa Salter of New Port Richey, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation was held from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary was recited there that evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, July 15, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Rev. Lukose Thirunelliparambil officiating. Burial followed in Beeville Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Bobby Garza, Nicholas Bishop, Robert Ray S. Garza, John Garza, Shaylynn Garza and Jacob Cervantez. Angelus Funeral Home
