Ruben Carlos Esqueda

Ruben Carlos Esqueda, born March 14, 1962, in San Antonio, Texas, passed away tragically Thursday, May 2, 2024, in Bee County, following an automobile accident.

Ruben, the son of the late Joe Rodriguez Esqueda and Nellie (Bustamante) Esqueda, proudly served and retired from the U.S. Marine Corps and later pursued a career in the federal prison system. He faithfully attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in George West with a goal of becoming baptized.

He was a great man, attentive husband, loving father and amazing grandfather.

Left behind to mourn his sudden passing include his beloved wife, Danielle Esqueda; his children, Ruby Jean Castaneda, Camille Esqueda, Johan Esqueda, Sybone Meadows, Sarah Yancey, Samuel Esqueda and Benjamin Esqueda; 12 grandchildren; several siblings; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 13, at Angelus Funeral Home in Beeville.

An inurnment ceremony with full military honors will be held at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi at a later date.
