Rev. Guadalupe L. Galvan, 68, of Beeville, died Monday, Sept. 9, 2013. Rev. Galvan was born Feb. 10, 1945, in Sinton to Beatrice Longoria Martinez and Herman Aguirre. He married Marina Garza in Beeville on May 2, 1975, and served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing and working on the yard and was a minister and a member of Grace Christian Center. He was preceded in death by parents; great-granddaughter, Lila Nevaeh Covarrubias; and a brother, Guillerno Martinez. Survivors include his wife, Marina Galvan of Beeville; children, Veronica (Gabriel) Gonzales of Beeville, Adrian (Irma) Zamora of Corpus Christi, Janie (James) Sierra of Victoria, Jeannie (Hector) Nieto of Temple and Irene Galvan of Beeville; grandchildren, Gabriel Jr., Adriane Anthony and Juan Manuel Gonzalez, Ryan Cody Zamora and Beatrice Marina Zamora, Michelle Flores, Michael Galvan, Mark Covarrubias, Jessica Sierra, Madison Paige Nieto and Cameron Taylor Nieto; 11 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Eddie Solis, Elena Flores and Lupe Aguirre, all of Houston, Marta Martinez and Yolanda Martinez, both of Skidmore, Janie Garcia and Reynaldo Martinez, both of Beeville, and Amelia Trevino of Sinton. Visitation was held Wednesday, Sept. 11, from 2 to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home with a prayer service there that evening at at 7 o'clock. The funeral service was conducted there at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, with Rev. Consuelo Rodriguez officiating. Musical selections were provided by vocalists Ernest and Alicia Perez. Burial followed in Beeville Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Gabriel Gonzalez Jr., Juan Gonzalez, Adrian Gonzalez, Cody Zamora, Michael Galvan, Mark Covarrubias and Dylan Garcia. Honorary pallbearers were Michelle Flores, Madison Nieto, Cameron Nieto, Beatrice Zamora and Jessica Sierra. Angelus Funeral Home
