Mary Ochoa Garcia

Mary (Ochoa) Garcia, 88, of Beeville, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the Avir at Beeville Nursing Home.

Mary was born August 16, 1936, in Beeville to Vivian Ochoa and Angelina (Solis) Ochoa. She dedicated numerous years as a housekeeper for Dan Hughes, a role that exemplified her commitment to hard work. She was a devoted member of St. James Catholic Church. She loved to dance and enjoyed cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vivian and Angelina Ochoa; her husband, Aurelio Garcia Sr.; and a daughter, Adelfa “Deffy” Garcia.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Elsa Ochoa; her son, Jr. (Jessica) Garcia; her cherished grandchildren, Marc Garza, Johnny Rey Valdez, Arlisa Marie Garcia, Elaine Garcia, Avery Hope Garcia, Kinsley Faith Garcia and Fellanie Garcia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, April 17, at Angelus Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 10 o’clock that morning. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Deacon Roger Rosenbaum officiating. Mary will be laid to rest at Beeville Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Joe Ortiz, Pablo Garcia, Joe Solis, Johnny Ray Valdez, Oscar Franco, Alfred Salinas and Manuel Solis.
