Mary Garcia

Maria Paula (Garcia) Garcia, 96, of Beeville, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018.

Mrs. Garcia was born Dec. 27, 1921, in Beeville to Prajedez and Santos Rodriguez Garcia. She married Theodoro Garcia and was retired from motel housekeeping. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Teodoro Garcia; son, Reyes Garcia Garcia; two brothers, Emilio Silvas Garcia and Felix Silvas Garcia; and two sisters, Micheala Silvas Rodriguez and Alma Garcia Cantu


Survivors include four children, Benselado (Teresa) Garcia, Angelita (James) Gibson, Micaela Arambula and Mary Lou (Dave) Leonard; a sister, Santos Acosta; 18 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 31, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be conducted there at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 1. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.


Pallbearers will be Anthony Barrera, Nathan Barrera, Johnny Rey Barrera, Benselado Garcia Jr., Rolando Segura, Arnold Arambula, Derrick Wessels and Aaron Yzaguirre.

Honorary pallbearer will be Grabriel Garcia.
