Martha Saenz Adames

Martha (Saenz) Adames, 85, of Carrollton, Texas, formerly of Beeville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

Martha was born October 18, 1938, in Goliad County to Manuel and Faustina (Lopez) Saenz. She was a graduate of A.C. Jones High School and married Telesforo Adamez on June 30, 1963. An active member of St. James Catholic Church and Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Martha lived her life with a deep sense of faith.

After dedicating 40-plus years as custodian with the Beeville Independent School District, she retired and enjoyed life to its fullest. She enjoyed traveling - one of her favorite dream destinations was visiting Rome with a church group. She also loved to dance, laugh, joke and most of all make one smile. Her sense of humor and quick mind will be missed.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Faustina Saenz; her husband, Telesforo Adamez; three sisters, Estella Wilson, Susana Gonzales and Celia Franco; and one brother, Emiliano Saenz.

Left behind to cherish fond memories include her son, John Adamez and wife Claudia of Carrollton; as well as four grandchildren, Patrick Adamez, Amber (Mark) Adamez, Derek Adamez and Mason (Mariah) Adamez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, at Angelus Funeral Home in Beeville with the Rosary to be recited at 1 p.m.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 o’clock that afternoon at St. James Catholic Church with Father Jacob Valayath officiating.

Burial will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.
