Maria Salinas

Maria (Cuellar) Salinas, 61, of Beeville, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2012. Mrs. Salinas was born July 11, 1950, in Refugio to Juanita Mora and Rogelio Cuellar Sr. She married Domingo Salinas in Beeville on July 13, 1975, and was a librarian for 33 years at Coastal Bend College. She was a member and volunteer at St. Joseph Catholic Church and a former member of the OLV School Board. She was preceded in death by her father, Rogelio Cuellar Sr. Survivors include her husband, Domingo Salinas of Beeville; a daughter, Marisela Salinas of Beeville; a son, Domingo V. (Mari) Salinas Jr. of Beeville; her mother, Juanita Cuellar of Beeville; three brothers, Rogelio (Irma) Cuellar Jr. of Alice, Alfredo (Gloria) Cuellar and Ruben (Martha) Cuellar, both of Beeville; two sisters, Maribel Cuellar of Beeville and Aurora Cuellar of San Jose, Calif.; and three grandchildren. Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited there that evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father John McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2. Pallbearers will be Gabriel Salinas, Anthony Briones, Ruben Cuellar Jr., Mark Anthony Cuellar, Rogelio A. Cuellar and Alfredo Cuellar Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Salinas, Gabriela Salinas and Aryceli Briones. Angelus Funeral Home
