Margarita Pierda

Margarita (Villarreal) Pierda, 79, of Beeville, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014. Mrs. Pierda was born July 7, 1935, in Tamaulipas, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Natividad Aguilar and Reducindo Villarreal. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. She enjoyed attending La Amistad Center. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Luis Pierda; brothers and sisters. Survivors include a son, Juan Villarreal of West Texas; daughters, Diane Smith and Angelica Pedroza, both of West Texas, and Minerva (Jimmy Villafranco) Gonzales of Berclair; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, Benny (Rachel) Villarreal of Littlefield. Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 22, from 10 a.m. to noon at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited there at 11 o'clock. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Glenwood Cemetery.
