Lucia Ortiz

Lucia Elizalde Ortiz, 84, of Beeville, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012. Mrs. Ortiz was born March 4, 1928, in Beeville, to Ysidro and Euesbia (Cano) Elizalde. She married Marcelo Ortiz in Beeville in May 1947 and was a homemaker and member of the Catholic church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marcelo Ortiz; a daughter, Yolanda Ramirez; a son-in-law, Daniel Ramirez; two brothers; and one sister. Survivors include a daughter, Sylvia Molina of Round Rock, two grandchildren, Linda Mae Gomez and Leslie Ann Garza; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rita (Benito) Molina and Cecilia Moron, both of Beeville, and Josephina Soliz of Corpus Christi; and two brothers, David Elizalde and Issac (Lume) Elizalde, both of Beeville. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Dec. 26, from 1 to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited there that evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Richard Gonzales officiating. Burial will follow in Beeville Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Victor Gomez, Benjamin Garza, Benji Gomez, Nicolas Garza, Edward Molina, Daniel Amador and Robert Diaz. Angelus Funeral Home Lucia Elizalde Ortiz
