Leonor (Herrera) Aguirre

Leonor (Herrera) Aguirre, 75, passed away peacefully at her home in Beeville, Texas on Saturday, October 19, 2024. She was lovingly surrounded by her family.

Leonor was born October 6, 1949, in Beeville to Ruperto Jose Herrera and Juanita (Botello) Herrera. She was a 1969 graduate of A.C. Jones High School and married Juan David Aguirre Sr. in Beeville on June 1, 1969. They recently celebrated 55 years of a strong and loving marriage. Leonor was a beloved member of her community and a cherished retired teacher's aide having served numerous years with Beeville ISD. She was known for her kindness, patience and support of both students and faculty alike. She was a member of Kingsway Church where she was actively involved and loved to sing. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family as much as possible. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Whenever she could go to one of their sporting events, she was their biggest fan. She loved to shop and give gifts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruperto and Juanita Herrera; and a grandson, Raul Ramon Jr.

Left to treasure her warmth, laughter and memories include her husband of 55 years, Juan David Aguirre Sr. of Beeville; her children, Donna (Raul) Ramon Sr., Juan David (Rachell) Aguirre Jr., Anna (Domingo P.) Garcia Jr. and Elizabeth Aguirre; two sisters, Lillia (Santiago) Aguirre Jr. and Dalia Herrera; a brother, Ruben (Cindy) Herrera; 10 beloved grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, at Kingsway Church in Beeville with a prayer service at 7 o’clock that evening.

The funeral service will be conducted there at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 23, with Pastor Isaac De Los Santos officiating. Burial will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Noemi Ramon, Richard Ramon, Joshua Garcia, Seth Garcia, Andrew Jacob Reven, Juan David Aguirre III, Arya Nunez and Aliza Garcia.
