Juanita Fuentes

Juanita (Lopez) Fuentes, 72, of Skidmore, died Monday, Nov. 21, 2016. Mrs. Fuentes was born Aug. 28, 1944, in Tynan to Isabel (Salazar) and Juan Lopez. She married Simon Fuentes in Colorado City on Nov. 11, 1961, and was a homemaker and a Christian. She enjoyed baking and was involved in the church. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Simon Fuentes Sr. of Skidmore; daughter, Diana (Donato) Salinas of Skidmore; three sons, Simon Fuentes Jr. and Joe Angel (Terry) Fuentes, both of Skidmore, and Victor (Leticia) Fuentes of Beeville; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Rachel Guiterrez and Maria Zamora, both of Tynan, Gloria Paderez of Lubbock and Carmen Martinez of Mathis. Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 25, from 2 to 9 p.m. at Mt. Zion Revival Center with a prayer service that evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral service will be conducted there at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, with Rev. Jose Angel Fuentes officiating. Burial will follow in Beeville Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Simon Fuentes III, Mark Salinas, Donato Salinas Jr., Jeremiah Fuentes, Elijah Fuentes and Eric Gonzalez. Angelus Funeral Home
