Juan Basquez Arzola

Juan Basquez Arzola, a giving, loving, caring and amazing father, of Beeville, Texas, passed from this world into the loving arms of Jesus on July 16, 2024. He was 92.

Mr. Arzola was born May 13, 1932 in Harlingen, Texas to Jose and Hilaria (Martinez) Arzola. He was a faithful member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and a dedicated construction worker. An avid fisherman, Juan also enjoyed hunting and barbecuing, watching cowboy movies and was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Above all, he loved his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Hilaria Arzola; his first wife, Christella Arzola and second wife, Ester Arzola; three sons, Joe Henry Arzola, Jimmy Arzola and Alex Arzola; a brother, Nicholas Arzola; and two sons-in-law, Danny Rincon and Steve Hernandez.

Left behind to cherish precious memories of their father are his 10 children, Sylvia Rincon, Christella (Steve) Longoria, Corina (Frankie) Arredondo, Rose Mary Lane, Angela Hernandez, Lupita (Joe) Mendez, Roland Arzola, Jose Arzola, Danny Arzola and Johnny Arzola; as well as 29 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 19, at Angelus Funeral Home in Beeville followed by a Rosary at 7 o’clock that evening.
