Jesus Delgado

Jesus P. Delgado, 94, of Beeville, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013. Mr. Delgado was born Feb. 28, 1919, in Berclair to Carlos and Adelaida (Perez) Delgado. He married Herlinda Delgado and was a carpenter by profession. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Herlinda Delgado in 1998; a son, Jessie Delgado; a daughter, Delia Cantu; two brothers, Carlos P. Delgado Jr. and Liborio P. Delgado; and five sisters, Louisa P. Delgado, Maria P. Gutierrez, Herminia P. Rendon, Celia P. Garcia and Adelaida P. Cano. Survivors include four sons, Jimmie Delgado, Jerry Delgado, Joe Delgado and Carlos "Charlie" Delgado; four daughters, Elma Cantu, Beatrice Mashburn, Mary Castillo and Alice Larson; a sister, Elumina P. Elizalde; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation was held Friday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. The funeral service was conducted there at 3 o'clock with Rev. Carl Pickett officiating. Burial followed at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2. Pallbearers were his grandsons. Angelus Funeral Home
