Guadalupe Silva

Guadalupe I. Silva, 94, died on February 19, 2016, at his residence. Mr. Silva was born on November 2, 1921 in Harlingen, Texas to Abraham and Modesta (Izaguirre) Silva. He married Genoveva Cuellar in Raymondville Texas in 1944. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of WWII. He was a Catholic and a retired Auto Paint & Body Repairman. He is preceded in death by his parents, Abraham and Modesta Silva; daughter, Modesta (Silva) Stecker; and son, David Silva. He is survived by his wife, Genoveva Silva of Beeville, daughter, Vicky Weeks (Gary Maier) of Beeville; 9 grandchildren, Lori Ann Campos, Kevin McKenna, Candy (McKenna) Estrada, David Russell Weeks, Missi Stecker, Melanie (Stecker) Fugate, David Silva Jr., Corina(Silva) Flores, David Abraham Silva ; 20 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Angelus Funeral Home with a rosary recited there that evening at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Luke officiating. Interment will follow at Oakville Cemetery in Oakville, Texas. Pallbearers will be Kevin McKenna, Victor Roland Campos, David Ramsey Gonzales, David Abraham Silva, Darian T. Estrada, Aric Garcia, Nathan Fugate. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert A. Campos, Aaron Estrada, Gary Maier, Nathan Lopez, Jayden Campos, Brody Estrada, Waylon Fugate, Christian Briseno, and Adrian Briseno.
