Guadalupe (Lupe) Paiz Garza went peacefully to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 21, 2019.
Lupe's story began on March 15, 1923, he was born to the late Alejandro H. and Paula P. Garza. The oldest of eight siblings, he was affectionately known as "Lupito."
After returning from serving his country in the U.S. Army, he was employed at the U.S. Post Office in San Antonio where he met the love of his life who he later married, the late Alicia Torres.
His love for Beeville drove him back home to run the family business, B&L House Moving Company.
Lupe and Alicia had three children, Edward, Jessy and Nelda Jane. They were also blessed with 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Lupe is survived by his children; grandchildren; his brother, Jessy; his sister, Lipa; and many nieces and nephews.
Lupe was blessed with 96 years in this world. He left many memories for those who knew and loved him.
We thank God and our Lord Jesus Christ for blessing us with his presence.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Angelus Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be recited there that evening at 7 o'clock.
The funeral service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Luke Thirunelliparambil officiating.
Burial will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.
