Gonzalo Sendejo

Gonzalo G. Sendejo, 68, of Beeville, died Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015. Mr. Sendejo was born Nov. 18, 1946, in Edinburg to Lucia Guzman and George Sendejo. He married Jesusa Lopez in Corsicana on Feb. 2, 1979, and was supervisor at Oil City Iron Works for more than 24 years. He enjoyed gardening and planting. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Arthur Sendejo and Ramiro Sendejo; two sisters, Elodia Rodriguez and Olivia Ferrer; and a granddaughter, Brittany L. Averitt. Survivors include his wife, Jesusa Sendejo; five daughters, Maria Esmeralda Sendejo Trejo, Erma (Jimmy) Mesker, Carol (John) Favors, Yolanda (Dave) Fite and Jennifer Sendejo (Andrew) Vasquez; three sons, Frankie (Lisa) Medrano, Jamie Medrano and Gilberto (Kim) Medrano; two brothers, Willie (Olga) Sendejo and Juan (Victoria) Sendejo; a sister, Elida Deleon; 28 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 10 a.m. with Father Paul Kottachal officiating. Angelus Funeral Home
