Gilbert Alvarado, Sr.

Gilbert Alvarado Sr., 93, of Beeville, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 19, 2020.

Mr. Alvarado was born August 2, 1927 in Beeville to Andres and Celia (Beltran) Alvarado. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and was a pipe layer and cook.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andres and Celia Alvarado; a son, David Alvarado; a sister, Juanita Perez; and a brother, Guadalupe Valdez Sr.

Survivors include a brother, Andres Alvarado; a sister, Aurora Martinez; three sons, Gilbert Alvarado Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Robert (Debbie) Alvarado of Silsbee and Henry (Norma) Alvarado of Mission; one daughter, Sandra Alvarado of Beeville; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, August 30, at Angelus Funeral Home followed by a Rosary at 7 o’clock.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 31, at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2 with Deacon Roger Rosenbaum officiating.
