Enriqueta Cumpian

Enriqueta Flores Cumpian, 85, of Beeville, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010. She was born to Serapio Flores and Tomasita Garcia in Goliad County on July 15, 1924. She married Guadalupe Marcus Cumpian and was a housewife, a member of the Guadalupanas of St. James Church and a member of St. James Catholic Church. Mrs. Cumpian was preceded in death by her parents, Serapio Flores and Tomasita Garcia; her husband, Guadalupe Marcus Cumpian; five brothers, Luis Flores, Justo Flores, Genaro Flores, Richard Flores, and Serapio Flores Jr.; and one sister, Senona Garza. Survivors include two sons, Jose Guadalupe Cumpian and Juan Albert Cumpian of Beeville; two daughters, Simona Cumpian Franco of Victoria and Elia Cumpian (Joe Henry) Hernandez of Dallas; one brother, Enrique Flores of Berclair; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation was held Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home where a rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday (today) at 2 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Father Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Burial will follow in the Berclair Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Ray Cumpian, Jason Lucas Cumpian, Steffin Rheede Griswold, Logan Marcus Gonzales, Alfonso Garza, Miguel Campos II, Michael Campos and John Leonard Ramon.
