Enedina Burkett

Enedina (Perez) Burkett, 77, of Beeville, died Wednesday, June 21, 2017. Mrs. Burkett was born April 16, 1940, in Bee County to Victoria (Gutierrez) and Severo Perez. She married Graham Smith Burkett in Beeville on July 28, 1969, and was a member of St. James Catholic Church. She was retired from 25 years with Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville and enjoyed being at the ranch. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a granddaughter, Victoria Marie Gomez; brothers, Enrique Perez, Pablo Perez, Jose Perez and Rosendo Perez; and two sisters, Maria Garcia and Carmen Garcia. Survivors include three children, Sammy (Cynthia) Burkett and Anna Marie Lynn, both of San Antonio, and Alan (Jessica) Burkett of Beeville; eight grandchildren, Joe Anthony, Mark, Jacob, Gabriel, Roxanne, Jessalyn, Aydon and Jaydon; one great-grandchild; four brothers, Abel Perez, Rudy Perez, Ray Perez and Severo Perez; and two sisters, Avelia Salazar and Ofilia Perez. Visitation will be held Friday, June 23, from 2 to 8 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church with a rosary recited at 7 o'clock. The funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 24, with Father Paul Kottackal officiating. Burial will follow at Beeville Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jacob Gomez, Joe Anthony Gomez, Roy Perez, Randy Perez, Ryan Perez and Gabriel Gomez.
