Emilia Silvas

Emilia M. Silvas, 84, of Beeville, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017.

Mrs. Silvas was born Jan. 18, 1933, in Clareville to Juanita Villarreal and Miguel Montemayor. She married Juan Silvas and was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Miguel and Juanita Montemayor; her husband, Juan Silvas Sr.; a daughter, Oralia V. Camacho; a son, Lupe E. Silvas; a grandson, Gilbert Villarreal Flores; and a son-in-law, Nick S. Camacho

Survivors include her daughters, Dalia Villarreal Sanchez of Aransas Pass and Natalia Villarreal Camacho and Elida V. (Adan) Martinez, both of Beeville; sons, Ciri (Nere) Villarreal Jr. of Mathis, and Abel Garcia, Juan Silvas Jr. and Jimmy Silvas, all of Beeville; a sister, Lydia M. Munoz of Slayton; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Nov. 28, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home chapel. A rosary was recited there that evening at 7 o'clock.

The funeral Mass was celebrated Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Paul Kottackal officiating. Burial followed at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2.


Pallbearers were Michael A. Sanchez, Ciri Villarreal Jr., Juan Silvas Jr., Nick Camacho Jr., David Camacho and Abel Garcia.
