Elida Flores

Elida (Garcia) Flores, 84, of Beeville, died Sunday, June 7, 2015. Mrs. Flores was born Feb. 21, 1931, in Beeville to Clara (Velasquez) and Adolfo Garcia. She married Juan M. Flores in San Diego on Aug. 12, 1949, and was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and the St Anne's Society at Our Lady of Victory. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolfo and Clara Garcia; husband, Juan M. Flores; brothers, Rosendo Suniga and Rodolfo Garcia; and a sister, Guadalupe Garcia. Survivors include her children, Rosalinda (Rudy) Perez and Sylvia (Jesse) Gonzales, both of Beeville, and Angela (Jamie) Kovacs of St. Thomas, Canada; grandchildren, Roy Perez, Rose Marie Perez, Jessica Carranco, Veronica DeLaGarza, Priscilla Gonzales, James Gonzales and Amber Martinez; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited there that evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Luke Thirunelliparambil officiating. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2. Pallbearers will be Randy Perez, Ryan Perez, Jesse Martinez, Larry Rosas, James Gonzales and Amber Martinez. Angelus Funeral Home
