David Sanchez

David M. Sanchez, 65, of Beeville, died Monday, July 29, 2013. Mr. Sanchez was born Aug. 10, 1947, in Beeville to Daniel and Isabel (Medina) Sanchez. He married Alice Garza in Karnes County in 1971 and was a sales manager, retired from Western Southern Insurance Company. He began his career in 1978 with United Insurance. He was an auditor and past member of the St. James Catholic Church finance committee. He enjoyed working in the yard, barbecuing and horse racing. His favorite thing was playing with his grandson Rylan. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Tina Gonzales. Survivors include his wife, Alice G. Sanchez of Beeville; three sons, Christopher Sanchez and Michael (Vanessa) Sanchez, both of Beeville, and Dann Sanchez of Austin; two sisters, Lydia (Chuck) Thielen of Lincoln, Neb., and Rosemary (Mike) Montague of Garner, N.C.; a grandson, Rylan Sanchez; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited there that evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at St. James Catholic Church with Father Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Pallbearers will be Ruben Sanchez, Leroy Garza, Gabriel Gonzales, Charlie Pineda, David Gonzales and Jim Huwe. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Angelus Funeral Home
