David Alvarado

David Alvarado, 59, of Beeville, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2016. Mr. Alvarado was born July 29, 1956, in Corpus Christi to Lydia and Gilbert Alvarado. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a painter and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lydia Alvarado; and a sister, Norma Jean Hernandez. Survivors include his father, Gilbert Alvarado Sr. of Beeville; children, Debra (Chris) Martinez and David Alvarado Jr. of San Antonio, Monica Alvarado and Juan Alvarado, both of Corpus Christi, and Gina Marie Alvarado of Beeville; step-son, Juan Luis Perez of Beeville; brothers, Gilbert Alvarado Jr. of Oklahoma, Robert (Anna) Alvarado of Silsbee and Henry (Norma) Alvarado of McAllen; a sister, Sandra Alvarado of Beeville; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited there that evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Richard Gonzales officiating. A graveside burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi. Pallbearers will be Richard Hernandez Jr., Frank Hernandez Sr., Pedro Colunga Sr., Juan Luis Perez, Roger Nunley and Chris Martinez.
