Bobby Gomez Sr.

It is with a heavy heart that the family of Bobby Gomez Sr., 58, of Beeville, Texas announces his sudden passing on July 17, 2024.

Bobby was born April 26, 1966, in Beeville to Luisa (Barrera) and Marcelino Gomez Sr. He was of the Catholic faith. His dedication to his work as a ranch hand was evident to all who knew him. He enjoyed fishing and loved classic cars. He was kind and generous with a big heart and selflessly offered help to those around him. Bobby created cherished memories with his family and friends who meant the world to him.

Bobby was preceded in death by his brother, Marcelino Gomez Jr.

Survivors include his loving parents, Luisa and Marcelino Gomez Sr. of Beeville; his 11 children, Bobby Gomez Jr., Monica Rodriguez, Jennifer Espinoza, John Lawrence Villa, Michael Villa and Christy Amador, all of Beeville, Sabrina Gomez of Austin, Royce Havens of Rockport, Anthony Gomez and Elizabeth Rodriguez, both of Portland, and Brandi Gamez of San Antonio; three sisters, Mona (Alan) Bridge, Patricia (Steven) Nienhouse and Joan Dominguez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, July 22, at Angelus Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 1 o’clock that afternoon with the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Deacon Roger Rosenbaum will officiate.

Burial will follow at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2.
