Antonia Garcia

Antonia (De Luna) Garcia, 87, of Pettus, Texas passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021, lovingly surrounded by her family.

Antonia was born January 19, 1934 in Panna Maria to Maria (Rodriguez) De Luna and Jose De Luna. She married the love of her life Rogerio S. Garcia Sr., in 1948 at Our Lady of Victory Church in Beeville. She stood very strong in her Catholic faith and loved painting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maria (Rodriguez) De Luna and Jose De Luna; her husband, Rogerio S. Garcia Sr.; two sons, Rogerio S. Garcia Jr. and Fidel Garcia.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary (Ignacio) Vargas and Gloria (Ricky) Garza; five granddaughters, Priscilla (Luis) Aguillon, Patricia (Marcus) Luna, Victoria (Alejandro) Rodriguez, Roxanne (Alejandro) Perez and Rafela (Chris) Perez; three grandsons, Eric Garcia, Derrick Garcia and Rogerio Garcia III; two daughters-in-law, Yolanda Garcia and Amelia Rowlings; 16 great-grandchildren; a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 17, at Angelus Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary recited at 7 o'clock.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 18, at St. James Catholic Church with Father Jacob Valayath officiating. Burial will follow at Pettus Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Marcus Luna Sr., Marcus Luna Jr., Alejandro Perez, Chris Perez, Luis Aguillon and Alejandro Rodriguez.
