Anna Torres-Garcia, 39, of Beeville, formerly of Houston, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013. Mrs. Torres-Garcia was born Sept. 9, 1974, in Houston to Idolina (Cuellar) and Nasario S. Torres Jr. She graduated from Milby High School in Houston and married Christopher J. Garcia in Las Vegas, Nev., on Feb. 27, 2008. She was a bookkeeper, accountant and certified pharmaceutical tech in Houston for Owen Health Care and also worked at Kohnsberg transport in Houston, the Bee County Auditors Office, Allen Dunn Construction, Waste Quip and the Bee County Chamber of Commerce. She was currently working toward her certification as a CPA and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Nasario Torres Jr.; a brother, Albert Torres; maternal grandparents, Guadalupe H. and Reyes H. Cuellar; and paternal grandparents, Cipriano and Rita Garcia. Survivors include her husband, Christopher Garcia of Beeville; a son, Christian R. Torres of Houston; her mother, Idolina "Ida" C. (Antonio Mendoza) Torres of Beeville; a bother, Joe Louis (Susan Locke) Torres of Houston; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held Monday, Oct. 28, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited there that evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Richard Gonzales officiating. Burial will follow in San Pedro Cemetery in Clareville. Pallbearers will be Lupe Cuellar, Samuel Gonzalez, Juan Cardenas, Javier Cardenas, Bobby Cuellar and Jamie Cardenas. Honorary pallbearers will be Gus Chavarria, Mark Barrera, Ruby Castillo, Lila Barrera, and Cory Lopez. Angelus Funeral Home
