Andrea Suniga

Andrea (Silvas) Suniga, 92, of Beeville, died Monday, Aug. 10, 2015. Mrs. Suniga was born July 23, 1923, in Runge to Valentin and Guadalupe Guantello (Montez) Silvas. She married Edwardo Suniga in Beeville on Aug. 7, 1948, and was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. She was a Catholic, active in several ministries including St. Anne Society and Choir at OLV, Guadalupanas and Cursillistas at St. James Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Sam Sanchez and Edward Suniga Jr.; a brother, Marcelo Silvas; and sisters, Carmen S. Orosco and Maria S. Castillo. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Suniga Perez and Angelita P. Garcia; three sons, Johnny Suniga, Abel Suniga and Robert Suniga; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 14, from noon to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited there that evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at Our Lady of Victory Church with Father Lukose Thirunelliparambil officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2. Pallbearers will be Cody Zamora, Joe Edward Suniga, Oscar Leroy Garcia, Jarod Garcia, Randy Sanchez and Javier Suniga. Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Gonzales, Kevin Wilson, Hunter Puentes and Dylan Zertuche. Angelus Funeral Home
