Adan G. Castillo Sr., 77, passed away in the comfort of his home in Skidmore, Texas on Thursday, October 7, 2021.
Adan was born January 22, 1944 in Karnes City to Grabiela (Gonzalez) and Petronilo Castillo. He married Diana Hernandez February 1, 2020 in Beeville. In his younger years, he was a farmer and later worked in the construction business operating heavy equipment prior to his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, dancing and socializing with his family and buddies.
Adan was preceded in death by his parents, Petronilo and Grabiela Castillo; brothers, Nicolas and Petronilo Castillo Jr.; sisters, Aurora Ramirez and Eva Salinas; and children, Mary Esther Rodriguez and Tony Castillo.
Survivors include his wife, Diana Castillo of Skidmore; brothers, Juan, Jesus, Anciano “Chano” and Ramiro Castillo; children, Adam Castillo, Rose Mary Rivas, Mary Ellen Martinez and Sylvia Soliz; and numerous grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, October 11, at Angelus Funeral Home in Beeville with a Rosary at 7 o’clock.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 12, at St. Francis Xavier Mission in Tynan with Rev. Thomas L. Goodwin officiating. Burial will follow in the Waldheim Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ray Resendez, Billy Joe Perez, Michael Paul, Adan Juan Gutierrez, Luciano Gutierrez and Petronilo and Nick Castillo.
